The Group Păo de Açúcar announced the anticipation of the purchases of some products for the Ponto Frio in 40 days. The notice was granted to periodical DCI for Hugo Bethlem, executive vice-president of the Group Păo de Açúcar. In the news, Bethlem affirms that this advancing is due to the reduction of the Tax on Industrialized Products (IPI). The news team of the Móbile/eMobile entered in contact with the Group Păo de Açúcar to know if the action also encloses the furniture sector, but the press assessorship affirmed that this information is not avaiable. Beyond advancing the orders for the end of the year, the Ponto Frio is retaking the importation of products that were not sold for three years by the retail net. In interview to the periodical Folha de Săo Paulo, Bethlem affirmed that the net received the first one leads of imported microwaves and must buy in the exterior item as GPS, devices of sound and digital television for automobiles, beyond other products. According to DCI, in the last semester, the sales in the store of the group had registered high of about 9%. Still in accordance with the DCI, the group also is studying how will work the logistic and the internal area of the two nets. The periodical informed that the first step will be for the electronic commerce. Until the end of the year, a digital platform will join information of Extra.com and PontoFrio.com in all the area of technology, logistic and attendance. However the nets will continue to have two different sites. "PontoFrio.com already acted separately of the physical store and Extra.com also has certain autonomy. We will strengthen the two and to create a structure. If in the future to make one '' spin off'' [derived company], we´ll already be prepared", affirmed Bethlem in the news article.
