In Rondônia, ecological couches are been produced from old tires. In front of the development of the product is Izabel Cristina da Silva, technique of the Secretariat of Ambient Development of the State of Rondônia (Sedam) and ambient educator, in partnership with communitarian entities. Beyond the used tires, are the composition of the products seeds, wooden, staple fibres, liana, rinds and leves of the local flora, beyond fabrics. According to ambient educator, the idea of the sustainable confection initiated from the relation tires abandoned with the degradation of the environment - a tire can lead up to 600 years to putrefy itself. "Ecological couches of the Amazônia", as they are been called in the exterior, are in expositions in Brazil and, soon, also in the Europe. The entrepreneurs Artur Perez Corredoira and Emilio Gonzalez, of the enterprise group Spanish STB SA, had interested in knowing the production line and negotiating the commercialization of the product in Spain. "The entrepreneurs had been in Rondônia in September and must come back until the end of the year", says Izabel.
