Cellular telephone is in high in Brazil

One of the main competitors of the furniture in the preference of the consumer, the sector of cellular telephony is in frank expansion, as it disclosed the National Research of Domiciles (Pnad), carried through for the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistic (IBGE) and divulged in the last friday (18/9). In accordance with the study, of 2007 to 2008, telephony was one of the services that most advanced in the country, being that 4,4 million domiciles had started to have some type of telephone. Of this total, 3,98 million houses had only acquired cellular. The high one in the number of families with some type of telephone was of 5,3 percentile points, reaching 82,1% of the Brazilian residences or 47,2 million homes. Already the domiciles with only cellular had reached 21,7 million (37,6% of the total), an increase of 5,9 percentile points. Pnad 2008 all investigated 391,868 people in 150.591 domiciles for the country regarding seven subjects (general data of the population, migration, education, work, family, domiciles and income), having September as reference month. One other research that strengthens that the cellular devices are in high in Brazil was presented this month for the Nielsen, global company of information and media. In accordance with the study, the country comes contributing for the increase in the sales of devices in Latin America. "The Brazilians divide with Mexico the leadership in ranking of sold cel phones, with increase of 5% in the sales of these item during the last year, locked up in March of 2009", discloses the survey of the Nielsen. Meanwhile, according to the research, Chile, Venezuela, Colombia and Argentina had not registered increase in volume of sales. Still according to study, "although the expansion, the number of devices for inhabitant in Brazil still is below of the Latin-american average".
