Data of the Monthly Research of Commerce, divulged this week by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistic (IBGE), points that the sales of household-electric and furniture in the July month had surpassed the volume pre-crisis volume. The volume of sales in July was 0,5% greater that the registered in July of 2008, before the beginning of world-wide economic crisis. In the comparison with the immediately previous month, the index is 1,9% superior (with sazonal adjustment). Still as the research, this result in general provided to the segment of household-electric and furniture to be the sixth bigger impact in the formation of the tax of performance of the retailing. According to IBGE, such result, the first positive in six months, are explained basically by the recent improvement of the credit, for the fall of the prices of the called white line, as still reflected of the reduction of the IPI, and for the improvement of the mass of wages of the busy population. The Brazilian retailing in general presented volume of sales 5,9% greater in July in the comparison with the same month of the year passed, and growth of 0,5% (with sazonal adjustment) before the June month. This third growth was followed in this base of comparison and took the level of sales, measured by the index of fixed base, to the maximum point of the series initiated in 2001.
